ABOUT C.A.T.

C.A.T. is an educational program designed for anyone who is interested in learning about animal-related topics and natural healing  techniques. All modalities offered may be applied to ALL animals, domestic as well as wildlife.

The concept for Centers for Animal Therapies/C.A.T., LLC.,  originates from a vision by owner Jo Maldonado to offer to the general public a complete program towards the  understanding of animals and preserving of  natural  healing techniques.  CAT's program offers you classes that are behavioral as well as  instinctive & intuitive.
It is the program's goal to only offer courses of a high learning caliber led by accomplished professionals of sincere intent.

Looking for a permament site

We  Need A Permanent Location!

Our classes are satellite, meaning we do not have a permament location and offer workshops at animal sanctuaries or facilities that we rent for the duration of the classes. The near future goal of C.A.T. is to acquire a permanent location with sufficient land and structures to:

·     House wildlife in need specific to the area

·     Provide a respite for those native animals in need of healing and living

·     Accommodate a training facility available to the public for the improvement of animal-human relationships

·     Provide ongoing animal related seminars, workshops and classes educating those interested in various natural methods hosted by professionals skilled in their field of expertise

·     Accommodate veterinary, and alternative animal health care services for the public and the wildlife specific to the area

·     Provide a platform location for the continuous practice of Native American customs, traditions and healing techniques supportive of all nature/wildlife/animals.   If you are interested in C.A.T., or would like further information about our workshops, or to be a presenter, please contact us at jo@cat-edu.com

Jo Maldonado, Founder and Owner, Centers For Animal Therapies/C.A.T., LLC

Jo Maldonado has been a long time owner of a public relations agency, J.M. Public Relations, Inc. ,   here in Orlando, and in Michigan where she and her husband, Henry Maldonado lived with their children.  After almost 30 years in the marketing and public relations industry Jo strongly felt that it was time for her to give back to the community.  In March 2009, Centers for Animal Therapies/C.A.T. was born with its trial run of  classes.  The program from it's inception has been formatted to be  educational in nature, and offers classes on various topics that  will enhance the understanding and relationship of people with animals and nature.

From Jo Maldonado

"I am fortunate to have many achievements and blessings in my life. A wonderful husband, creative, caring children, a houseful of dogs and cats and an army of supportive loving friends and family.  Owning a successful business has been another achievement. Now, it is time for me to give back.

I have always loved and been involved with animals. Training dogs at a young age, rescuing and fostering animals, animal photography…it goes on. C.A.T. is big.   I devote myself until completion, to the mission of C.A.T. by providing education to the public so we can help our animal family. This is important for the continuation of the conservation of nature.  It is important for our community, for our animals, and  for our children to know and remember to honor what our Native American family refers to as  'Mother Earth.'"
