A Georgia shelter burns down. Daisy-a Great Pyrenees who survives a car hit & fire needs help Others from the Georgia shelter need R & R & help
This little guy was brought in after a rope around his neck caused serious dizziness & harm. I use my medical intuitiveness and find that he is "snapping" because his sight presents things to him in a "spinning" motion.
29 animals were transported to Judy's rescue after a fire destroyed the Georgia shelter. Puppy litter mates perished, mothers were separated from their babies, and amongst burns, smoke inhalation andn other injuries for those that survived, was a stunning white Great Pyrenees who was tragically hit by a driver who fell asleep, turned away by her owner who was not interested in paying her vet bill, and ended up in a shelter that was to burn down upon her arrival. She was barely stitched together and then transported to Judy's. Strength. She had a shattered knee, dislocated hip amongst severe bruising and is heartworm positive. Treatment for her will run about $7,000. I did not have the privilege to meet her as she was in surgery, but Judy reports she has had laser treatment, her first knee surgery, and will begin heartworm treatment soon as she stabilizes with a hip surgery after that. This breed is very dear to me. We have a Pyr and I can tell you that they are sweet, loyal, and don't complain even when they are in unbearable pain. For more info on this girl, who's name is Daisy, and to help sponsor her medical bills, Click Here. or email Judy
Surviving the Georgia fire, this little guy developed a allergic reaction to the anesthesia used during surgery in Florida. reiki helps and the vet is contacted regarding the drugs that were used.
A crowded waiting room at Judy's. Everyone waits their turn while I talk to them one at a time.
I volunteer on Fridays at the Pet Rescue by Judy Shelter in Sanford. Last week I came across a very sad case of a young male lab mix, who the shelter loving named, St. Francis. He had multiple BRANDINGS from head to toes on his young body as he became victim of a horrible abuse case. He has to be one of the most forgiving animals I have met and is forever appreciative of all the help the volunteers and staff at the Pet Rescue by Judy shelter have and continue to provide for him. Please see below photos of St. Francis as seen with CAT instructor Theresa Andrews who brought healing herbs and a dose of Reiki treatment for him. The lady in the blue shirt is fittingly named Hope. She is a volunteer for Judy who opens her home and heart to those animals in critical need of attention. Sargent, the white dog seen in the photos below was also a very sad abuse case who came in undernourshished, with broken teeth, and magots infilitrating his skin. After a few surgergies, healing medication and rehabilitation at the shelter, he is almost ready for his forever home.
Another challenge facing this shelter, aside from the financial challenges of rehabilitating and rescuing animals, the van that the shelter uses for transport was stolen containing crates.
If you find it in your heart to help St. Francis, Sargent or the Pet Rescue by Judy shelter please contact Judy on her cell at 407-716-5977, or go to their website byclicking here.
