It was an email that came to me buried among tons of others. This one was very humble, sincere and not at all ridden with a desperate plea—considering the circumstance…it merely stated that after years of rescuing horses, this group, The Wild Horses Rescue Center, led by Diane DeLano in Mims, FL, was closing, and 20 horses were in need of immediate homes. It happens. The economy. The economy somehow has managed to now affect all of us here on earth, not just those with two legs driving cars. Families without a bread winner, without homes, and without cars. How can they possibly even think about their animals? And then there are those who don’t care, and they abandon. I see dogs and cats dumped weekly at the Pet Rescue by Judy shelter where I volunteer on Fridays. There are over 200 animals in need of homes just at this shelter alone. Center for Animal Therapies Inc. was created to help and understand our animals. We offer an educational program that teaches how to do many things: energy work, how to communicate with animals, how to care for them and much more. Time to get moving and start practicing what we have been learning. On Labor Day Monday, September 7, a handful of students and instructors gave up their families for a few hours to help those horses and the people that care for them. Stress, fear, medical issues overwhelm some of these great creatures. Energy workers, healers, animal communicators, all did what they could to help. This is the purpose of CAT, to teach, and to practice. I thank you all for giving up your time. We saw a huge difference in the horses as you can tell by looking at their relaxed expressions on the photos below. Best wishes to Diane Delano of Wild Mustang Rescue who is still looking for homes for her horses. Her website is a little temperamental, but try www.mlwhr.com. The phone number for the rescue/Diane is 321-427-1523 Cell or 321-267-0607 Home. The Address is 4970 International Ave., Mims, Fl 32754. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
